GOOD TO KNOW
-
Bookings for our dining counter and booth table are taken online only. The diary is currently open until 31 January 2027.
Please note that a deposit of £25 per person is charged at booking stage.
-
If you need to cancel your booking, please email us on hello@thenorthwic.co.uk with your booking details.
Your booking can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 3 days before your reservation time. In this case your deposit will be refunded (minus a £1 admin fee per person).
If you cancel or reduce the number of diners within the 3 days before your reservation date, please note you will forfeit your deposit paid.
“No shows” and very late cancellations (less than six hours ahead of reservation time) will be charged a further £30 per person.
-
Please don't worry – just contact us as soon as you can! Please note that if you are booked in for a final sitting at 1:30pm or 7:30pm and arrive more than 60 minutes late, our FULL SEND menu may not be available.
-
We serve vegetarian and pescatarian versions of all our menus. We must be informed at booking stage if this is required.
Due to the small size of our restaurant and kitchen team, all other dietary requests must be pre authorised by a member of the team prior to booking. Please reach out via email on hello@thenorthwic.co.uk to discuss.
Unfortunately, we may not be able to accommodate requests made on the day of your visit.
Please note that unfortunately we cannot cater for guests who follow a vegan diet or those with dairy, gluten, soya or egg allergies.
Although we always follow best practice, all our dishes are produced in an environment where allergens are also prepared and cooked.

Due to our city centre location, we do not have on-site parking. You will need to park at one of the nearby public car parks. Here are a few we recommend:
Pottergate Car Park, NR2 1DX
St Giles Multi-Storey Car Park, NR2 1JL
The Forum Norwich Car Park, NR2 1TF
St Andrews Car Park, NR3 3AJ -
Our small city centre restaurant is set over two floors.
The bar and private dining room are located on the ground floor and is accessible to wheelchair users.
The first floor is only accessible via staircase.
We offer everything that’s available on the restaurant menu downstairs for anyone who needs or would prefer to dine on the ground floor.
If you’d like to come and have a look around before committing to a booking, you’re more than welcome to pop in for a tour and we can select the space that would be most comfortable for you to dine.

All gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the purchase date and can be purchased online here.
Gift vouchers are not available to purchase from the restaurant as all our vouchers are processed and sent via our online third-party partner.
If you have one of our gift vouchers to redeem, please quote your voucher number at the time of booking so we can store it against your reservation.
If your voucher is due to expire and you cannot find a reservation, please contact us.
If using a voucher, any additional expenditure on your bill above the value of your voucher must be paid in full at the end of your meal. If there is a remaining balance available at the end of your visit this can be issued as a new voucher, but the same expiry date will be applied.
-
A discretionary 10% service charge is added to all bills.
-
At The Northwic, we love wine as much as you do. We are delighted for you to bring a bottle of your own, but as a small restaurant operate a "If you bring one you buy one" policy.
We therefore ask that for each 750ml bottle brought, guests purchase one bottle from our wine list. A corkage fee of £15 also applies.
-
Yes! Music is part of a fun atmosphere at The Northwic.
We are proud of our playlist and the volume we play it at. It is played at a slightly lower volume during lunch hours but in the evening we are not afraid to ramp it up.
-
Our suggested dress code is smart casual. Jeans and a t-shirt are perfectly acceptable, as is something more formal for those wishing to glam up!
-
We have a small bar area available for guests to enjoy before or after their reservation. This is a non-reservation bar and is open to everyone all day, so seats are available on a first come, first served basis.
-
We are happy to welcome young foodies! We just kindly ask that any children dining with us do so from our tasting menu at full price.
Please note however that due to the intimate nature of the restaurant, we cannot accommodate babies or toddlers.
-
We are always keen to hear from passionate individuals who are looking to take the next step in their career for both front and back of house.
If you're interested in joining our team, please drop us an email with a bit about yourself and your CV to hello@thenorthwic.co.uk
